Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a dynamic health care profession that has a significant role in health promotion and treatment of injuries and movement dysfunction.

Physiotherapists combine their in-depth knowledge of the body and how it works with specialized hands-on clinical skills to assess, diagnose and treat symptoms of illness, injury or disability.

River District Physio offers 1-on-1 full body assessment and treatment with our Physiotherapists. Each session will include a postural & movement evaluation to identify the primary cause of pain and to ensure treatments are tailored to the individual’s goals and current function.

Our treatment approach incorporates principles of Manual Therapy & Corrective Exercise, and the Power of Education. Manual therapy is a great tool for mobilizing stiff joints, reducing muscle tension and improving pain. Corrective exercises are utilized by our therapists as a way to restore and strengthen movement, and to help individuals become active participants in their health care.

Rounding our treatment philosophy with personalized education, our therapists will equip you with the knowledge needed to take back control over your body.
